Leading global content provider Wiley today announced a publishing partnership with REDmoney Group, which specializes in Islamic finance, information and events. The partnership, a first between the two companies, will offer quality market information and expertise to the global Islamic finance community.
“Since publishing our first Islamic finance titles in 2006, we have noted a steady increase in interest in line with the growth of the industry. Rising awareness, coupled with enlightened government policies and growing sophistication of financial institutions, have helped to propel the industry forward. We believe we will be able to make even greater inroads with our content with REDmoney Group’s excellent connections and solid reputation within the Islamic finance community. Our partnership is one built on a solid foundation of real strength, a meeting of minds and a shared vision of wanting to provide the best for the Islamic finance community,” said Nick Wallwork, Publisher, Professional Development, Wiley.
“We’re delighted to be working with Wiley on this project and very proud to have collated the industry elite to author this exceptional collection of reports, portraying the current Islamic financial climate in an array of markets,” Andrew Morgan, Managing Director and Publisher of REDmoney Group commented. “There remains a perception that Islamic finance is largely confined to Muslim dominated markets, and as this publication verifies, that is no longer the case,” said Morgan.
Launch of Islamic Finance Handbook: A Practitioner’s Guide to the Global Markets
Last month, both partners jointly launched The Islamic Finance Handbook: A Practitioner’s Guide to the Global Markets, the first of its kind in the world. A series of concise country reports written by the industry’s leading practitioners, The Islamic Finance Handbook provides a comprehensive country-to-country breakdown of the current state of Islamic finance industry by using league tables and real-world case studies.
The Islamic Finance Handbook covers 33 key financial markets, including Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brunei, Canada, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.
Each chapter features sub-sections that allow instant comparison between countries in specific areas of interest as well as unique mechanisms that contribute to the growth and function of the Islamic finance industry; specifically macro- and micro- economic conditions, regulations and politics.
Distributed globally by Wiley, The Islamic Finance Handbook is available for US$150.00 through the Wiley Online Store (wiley.com) and all major bookstores in Asia. For bookstores outside Asia, The Islamic Finance Handbook will be available from July 2014 onwards.
