Amen Alibi is thrilled to announce they received four song awards as of April 2014. These new awards granted to Amen Alibi bring the grand total to five song writing awards and one industry acceptance seal for Rick Couture’s band.
In March 2014, Amen Alibi won the “Best Alternative Song” award for the song, Go Some More, on their new album, Addicted. This month, the band has received three more song writing awards for the same album. They have received “Best Alternative Song” for Break Down and Cry,“Best Country Song” for Blame It on the Moon, and “Best Americana Song” for Hey Man. Rick Couture, founder of Amen Alibi, states,“I'm stoked! The record is being well received, and that's great."
In addition to these new awards for their latest album, they also received a new award for their debut album, Leap of Faith. I’m Dying received “Well Written Original Song.” More than six months after this album’s release, it is still garnering attention from the critics, which shows the longevity of this album and Amen Alibi as a group.
Amen Alibi officially launched Addicted on March 29, 2014, about nine months after the successful launch of their debut album. The album launch featured a live concert that was also broadcast online, giving fans across the country the ability to enjoy a live show featuring Amen Alibi. The concert will be available on DVD for those who are interested in owning a copy.
The launch concert is just the start for this group. Amen Alibi is currently putting together tour dates, taking their award-winning songs on the road. This tour will help them reach new fans who may not have heard their music. With two albums, this concert tour will feature a variety of music, including their award winning songs. Tour dates and locations will be announced as they become available.
The future continues to look bright for Amen Alibi. Both of their albums have been well-received by both the critics and their fans, giving them a solid foundation upon which they can create more new music and release additional albums to build up their library. The prospect of going on tour also offers new opportunities for the future. The indie rock category is often difficult for newer bands because of the challenges in reaching a new audience in a lesser known genre. However, today’s indie music has rapidly gained ground, giving bands like Amen Alibi opportunities they may not otherwise have.
