GE Healthcare today announced the healthymagination validation of the GE200 Blood Glucose Meter, manufactured by the Bionime Corporation. GE’s healthymagination strategy aims to revolutionize the world’s health by improving the quality, access and affordability of care. To receive healthymagination validation, products are reviewed by an independent party to confirm their stated improvements in the areas of quality, access and affordability of care.
The launch of the first GE-branded glucose monitoring product into the Canadian market is aimed at empowering Canadians to better manage health in their own homes. The new GE200 Blood Glucose Monitoring System will provide an easy, clean and accurate way to test blood glucose levels for the more than three million people living with diabetes in Canada. With patented technology and a user-friendly and sanitary strip design, the GE200 achieves high levels of accuracy and precision for patients.

The GE200 is the second diabetes management product line to be launched as part of a worldwide, licensing agreement between GE Healthcare and Bionime. In choosing Canada as the first country to receive the GE200, Bionime has entered into a strategic relationship with Auto Control Medical to market and distribute the GE200 Meter, Test Strips and Accessories to Canadian pharmacies. The GE200 is now available at Safeway, London Drugs and other participating pharmacies.
