Cadman Power Equipment, a farming equipment manufacturer based in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, now has a powerful ERP solution to match the cutting-edge technology used to develop and improve their innovative product line.
Cadman Power Equipment’s decision to implement a new ERP system was driven by the rapid growth of their business. Their legacy accounting and manufacturing systems could no longer keep pace. Duplicate entries and inadequate inventory control and process management were not conducive to their expanding business. Cadman sought an ERP system that would eliminate these problems without having to buy custom mix-and-match modules. abas ERP was a perfect fit.
Reliable technology for continued growth
Craig Thibodeau, IT Manager at Cadman, together with the Cadman management team, selected abas ERP based on the architecture of the system. He explained,“I like the structure of the abas database and the fact that the system runs on Linux, which will make it more stable in the long run. I also like the way the system can be customized without disrupting the root functionality or interfering with our upgrade path.” He also noted,“The project lead from the abas team was an unbelievable source of information. He knows ERP and abas so well that it's almost frightening.”
Paul Hemmings, Director of Professional Services at abas-USA, said,“The project was successful because we followed our methodology and evaluated their structure and business rules, which allowed us to implement abas in-line with their processes, to make sure that it serves their current requirements while allowing room for future growth.”
