iControl today announced the signing of three PDI clients to multi-year Scan Based Trading (SBT) agreements. The retailers are Lehigh Gas Partners LP, Graham C-stores Company, and Davis Oil Company. With an emphasis on data integrity and detailed in-store sales analysis, iControl’s industry-leading SBT service reduces shrink, decreases out-of-stocks and ultimately increases profits. In addition to SBT, Davis Oil will use the technology firm’s Regulated Commerce service to settle its alcohol delivery payments.
The three new business opportunities are in the convenience store class of trade and came as a result of iControl’s strategic marketing agreement with PDI. “Historically, there have been several product categories in the convenience store industry among them newspapers and magazines that have proven to be costly and difficult to manage,” says Greg Gilkerson, president of PDI (pictured, left). “From minimizing vendor pre-sell efforts to improving inventory stock positions, the relationship with iControl gives our customers access to an SBT offering that provides tangible value to both retailers and suppliers.”
Tal J. Zlotnitsky, chairman and Co-CEO of iControl, says he is excited about the considerable growth potential he sees for the near future. "We are delighted to welcome these three retailers and PDI clients into our family of fine retailers. In the coming months we expect to welcome many more PDI clients as we continue to work with Greg and the PDI team to develop our strategic marketing partnership."
Lehigh Gas Partners is based in Allentown, Pa. and provides fuel oil products to almost 800 locations, including 220 convenience stores, across 12 states along the eastern United States. The first phase of iControl’s services began Nov. 18, 2013.
Graham C-Stores is a privately owned and operated 36-store chain based in Mundelein, Ill. with locations in the Chicago and Wisconsin marketplace. The company’s program with iControl launched Dec. 2, 2013, and expansion across several categories is projected for early 2014.
Davis Oil is a family-owned operation based in Battle Creek, Mich. with 20 convenience stores throughout the southwest part of the state. Started in 1966 as a fuel oil distribution company, Davis Oil continues to expand its footprint throughout the very competitive Michigan market. The company will launch iControl’s Regulated Commerce service in December followed by its SBT program in early 2014.
