abas is the only midsize provider to offer localizations of their ERP system for countries across five continents, putting them on par with much larger corporations.
International success
Selecting an ERP system is not an everyday task and presents a serious challenge for many businesses. Significant investments are made in modern software technology to increase the efficiency of business processes. ERP surveys, such as the "Global ERP User Satisfaction Survey" from the Swiss consulting and analysis firm i2s, can be of great assistance by providing an initial overview of the available market solutions. More than 1,700 companies from 35 countries participated in the most recent survey.
Only a few "true global players"
A surprising result of the survey was that only relatively few software packages ranked in the league of global providers. To be included this category, an ERP system had to have an international presence across multiple regional markets, and i2s also had to receive survey responses from several countries. With these criteria i2s was able to establish a list of true global players: SAP, Microsoft, Infor, IFS, and the total ERP package from abas, which received the highest international rankings. In the November 11, 2013 issue of Computerwoche magazine, Managing Director of i2s Dr. Scherer attributed abas's success to the consistent global strategy pursued by company leadership, which is demonstrated by installations and localizations in numerous countries. According to Dr. Scherer, this situation is fairly rare and does not apply to the diverse other ERP providers from the German-speaking area.
