Yoshinoya, a leading global quick-service restaurant chain, announced today that it's returning to the 3021 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles location near the University of Southern California with a new store.
Beginning Monday, December 2, 2013, Yoshinoya invites the public to join the fun for what promises to be an exciting week of festivities including daily promotions, prizes, and for those with an appetite for competition, a Sumo Beef Bowl® eating-contest between two world famous, authentic Sumo wrestlers. The weeklong celebration will culminate with “Philippine Relief Day” when Yoshinoya will donate its entire sales from the Figueroa location on Friday December 6, 2013 to the Red Cross to help provide relief to the Philippines due to the typhoon.
Yoshinoya has always had success in blending great taste and a wholesome menu at a great value. The new restaurant near USC will be unique for the Yoshinoya brand in that this location will test menu items, promotions, and creative concepts. The team at Yoshinoya is excited to explore and discover more ways to please their customers.
The complete schedule of events includes:
Monday, December 2nd -- Free Gift Day: Free gift to the first 500 customers entitles you to a free drink with purchase until the end of 2014.
Tuesday, December 3rd -- Scratcher Day: Scratchers redeemable for free prizes for the first 500 customers.
Wednesday, December 4th -- Sumo Eating Contest Day: Beginning at 1:00 pm two legendary Sumo wrestlers, Yamamotoyama, the largest Sumo in history, and Byamba, four-time World Sumo Champion, will square off to see who can eat the most Yoshinoya bowls in 15 minutes
Thursday December 5th -- Free Sweet Potato Puff Day: Free order of Sweet Potato Puffs with every transaction.
Friday, December 6th -- Philippine Relief Day: On this day, Yoshinoya will donate its entire sales from the Figueroa location to the Red Cross to help provide relief to the Philippines due to the typhoon.
