A consortium of large private self storage owners with more than 2,000 locations combined announce the launch of a new aggregator website called Find Local Storage (“FLS”).
FLS was formed so that self storage owners and operators can generate their own leads and rentals directly, and avoid paying a premium to third-party aggregators. The goal of FLS is to improve marketing efforts while reducing the cost for all participants as the platform evolves and grows over time.
FLS is owned and controlled by self storage owners that are looking to improve the economics for all industry owners, and is open to additional owner-operator participants. FLS will officially go live on November 15, 2013.
The site will be managed by Go Local Interactive LLC (GLI). GLI has extensive experience in the self storage industry, driving leads to more than 700 locations via customized marketing solutions.
FLS will provide leads from organic, paid media partnerships, and pay for lead sources. The website will have more than 2,000 locations paying to utilize FLS and working together to drive an increased volume of leads.

Another intriguing feature of the web directory is the volume of listings from inception. In addition to the over 2,000 locations represented in the consortium, FLS will market itself in partnership with the Storage Business Owners Alliance (SBOA), utilizing the SBOA’s extensive marketing capabilities.
