With its new local search “People Nearby” qeep closes the gap between virtual and real-life friends. With just one click, qeep users can now see who is online in their local area. Special search filters help them to find people of their own age and interests to go to gigs, pubs and clubs with.
“Our new location-based search adds the all-important local flavour to our product and should increase the stickiness of our app,” explains Cornelius Rost, managing director and co-founder of BLUE LION mobile. “Qeep has always been a unique place to make friends all over the world now it’s also somewhere to meet people nearby.”
With increasing growth across all markets 800,000 new users in the last month alone qeep’s product strategy continues to prove itself. Qeep is growing particularly quickly in the USA, Germany, UK and Spain. Worldwide more than 24 million people are now using the app, with the Android platform accounting for an increasing proportion of downloads.
