New execs to lead major initiatives in Products, Sales, and E-Commerce
PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data security and encryption solutions, today announced two additions to the PGP management team: Steven Schoenfeld as Vice President Products & Strategy and Denise Hayman as Vice President of North American Sales. In addition, Doug McLean will assume the newly created role of Vice President Online Operations & Commerce and Brian Draves has been promoted from Director of Legal Affairs to General Counsel. These changes provide depth and industry expertise, enabling PGP Corporation to respond more quickly to specific enterprise requirements in the areas of product development, customer relationships, and contracts.
Steven Schoenfeld, Vice President Products & Strategy
Most recently, Mr. Schoenfeld was Director of Product Management at Check Point Software Technologies for more than 6 years, where he helped grow revenue from $86 million to more than $500 million. While there, he was a member of the company’s Product Council, which oversaw product strategy, execution, and measurement. Prior to Check Point, he was a key member of the management staff for Pretty Good Privacy (PGP)/Network Associates, where he led the strategy, definition, and product management of client and server products into corporate markets.
“My experience with PGP products goes back to 1996, when we conceived of and delivered the first PGP product suite for the enterprise,” said Mr. Schoenfeld. “Since then, PGP products have advanced significantly, based on the PGP Universal platform. My focus is on delivering world-class enterprise products that secure all aspects of data in motion and at rest.”
Denise Hayman, Vice President North American Sales
Most recently, Ms. Hayman was Vice President Sales for Vontu, Inc., where she focused on presenting emerging technology offerings in data loss prevention software and services to Fortune 500 enterprises. Previously, she was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Business Development, for Tripwire, a leading provider of data and network integrity solutions, where she crafted the company’s worldwide sales and channel strategy. Before Tripwire, Ms. Hayman spent 10 years at Symantec Corp., lastly as Senior Director, U.S. Corporate Sales and Marketing, driving 100% annual revenue growth.
“My experience is that enterprise customers must understand technical products in depth before they can make an informed decision,” said Ms. Hayman. “My task will be to enable customers to make those decisions by providing them the details they need about the PGP Universal platform and the PGP encryption applications suite. I believe that once customers understand the innovation, sophistication, and comprehensive nature of these products, they will be interested in engaging PGP Corporation as a long-term security and infrastructure partner.“
Doug McLean, Vice President Online Operations & Commerce
Mr. McLean most recently served as Vice President of Products for PGP Corporation. Before joining the company, he was Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Postini, a leading provider of enterprise email anti-spam and anti-virus perimeter solutions. Prior to Postini, he served as Vice President for Launch Pad. He has also held management positions at Xerox Corp., Apple Computer, and Hewlett-Packard and has led e-commerce initiatives at Netcom and Software Buyline.
“Our corporate website and store are the primary way in which many of our customers gather information on and interact with PGP Corporation,” said Mr. McLean. “By improving the usability of these sites and expanding our e-commerce offering, we'll be able to materially grow the company’s business and form tighter relationships with our customers.”
Brian Draves, General Counsel
Mr. Draves most recently served as in-house Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at Scale Eight, Inc., a data storage software firm for which he spearheaded corporate development, licensing, and pre-IPO financing. Prior to Scale Eight, he represented a variety of technology companies and venture capital funds as a corporate and securities attorney focused on emerging growth companies at the law firm Cooley Godward LLP.
