This infographic is part of Career Step's ongoing campaign to educate the marketplace on the realities of the medical transcription industry.
“We conducted an industry panel with representatives from some of the largest medical transcription employers in the nation as well as the industry association just a few months ago,” said Career Step Vice President of Enrollments and Marketing Ryan Ewer. “Everyone on the panel agreed that there is a significant shortage of medical transcriptionists coming, and yet there is a perception that medical transcriptionists are no longer in demand. Our goal is to correct this misconception through easy-to-share content like our new State of the Medical Transcription Industry infographic.”
The new infographic focuses on answering four questions: why medical transcriptionists are in demand, are there jobs in my specific geographic area, how much do medical transcriptionists earn, and is training necessary. Viewers will also find valuable industry statistics such as average salaries and the time it takes most students to complete a training program.
