On August 2013, bsoco, the leading Community software benchmark provider, produced its tenth barometer (its second for 2013), which highlights purchase trends for April, May and June. Each quarter, it provides performance indicators for professional software sectors, such as CRM, ERP, e-learning, SIRH and CMS, etc.
In order to produce its purchase trend statistics, bsoco looks closely at the way thousands of users navigate worldwide, identifying the most popular searches. The company mainly uses the sales results from benchmark programs, representing a very reliable indicator of the short-term purchase intentions of internet users. Recognised by software publishing professionals, the bsoco barometer provides relevant and useful lists, for both software vendors and purchasers.
Following the good start to 2013, the trend has continued and accelerated, almost 60% up on the previous quarter. The highest performing sector is that of applications dedicated to commerce (CRM, e-mailing, etc.). This may be interpreted as a sign of an upturn in activity. Other sectors, such as e-learning and SIRH, continue to perform well.
SaaS applications continue to enjoy success, again with 2.7% purchase intentions.
The mean software price has increased by 0.63%.
Finally, the bsoco barometer has also published its usual Top Fifty, which identifies the 50 leading software programs in its database, in order of user satisfaction. After several quarters, in which the rankings have been dominated by talent management software, they are now headed by an e-mailing program. The French program, Néolane, recently sold to the American company, Adobe, has been voted the best by its users. The other podium places are occupied by Lumesse TalentLink and the IFS software from ERP.
The Top Fifty also saw the arrival of Kenexa, an authorship tool dedicated to e-learning and the CRM, Welcom XLS.
