They will also be visiting the British University in Dubai, DIFC, Media City, Internet City and Knowledge Village.
The professional and business services cluster is estimated to comprise 28,400 establishments and employ 90,200 people with an expected growth of 14% to 2010.
It is one of ten identified by Advantage West Midlands (advantagewm.co.uk) aiming to increase the region’s competitive advantage, reputation and wealth creation by encouraging businesses to collaborate and exploit strategic opportunities.
It is seen as the fastest growing cluster in the region and its development is considered vital as because of the expertise and knowledge it can offer to all branches of the economy.
Claire Holden, Advantage West Midlands Business and Professional Services cluster manager, said: “As one of the world’s emerging centres for commerce and business, Dubai offers a gateway to a market of more than one billion people.
“This is a great chance for us to really forge links and relationships with the United Arab Emirates and find out about what our companies need to do to make the most of the opportunities Dubai offers.”
Regional International Trade Adviser Steven Cunnane, based at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “Dubai ranks as one of the world’s leading trading centres and offers one of the most pro-business and liberal regulatory environments in the region and is by far the UK’s largest market in the Middle East.
“Participating companies are seeking to research the marketplace and develop partner relationships, with the objective of gaining new clients. The United Arab Emirates is a key target market for our companies.”
