Extended Stay America has enlisted the help of Knowledge Anywhere to ensure their employee training is top-notch by deploying a new Learning System.
The new system will provide all employees with access to Extended Stay America’s training catalog, with courses on topics, such as customer service, safety, computer skills, and effective sales. The systems tracks and monitors the training each employee receives to ensure they have the knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of professionalism and hospitality acumen.
The system also includes a Newsroom with video messages from company executives, allowing clear communication of corporate priorities and initiatives. Powerful reporting features allow decision makers to monitor key training metrics.
Extended Stay America’s vice president of standards, training, and guest relations, Simon Mendy, said,

The new learning and knowledge platform provides a centralized location for our team members distributed across North American to access the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their job performance.”
The new system is available to everyone in the organization from housekeeping, maintenance, hotel management, to corporate staff. The job performance and training elements include video briefings, online course, quizzes, and quick-glance job aids.
In a recent Wall Street Journal article, CEO Jim Donald emphasized the importance of empowering his company’s employees. This system will do just that by giving them consistent, high-quality, accurate information on everything Extended Stay America.
