Ryan Steelberg, CEO of Brand Affinity Technologies, Inc. (BAT), the expert in activating, engaging and monetizing the fan, will be a featured presenter and judge at this year’s On Deck Sports and Technology Conference, a forum for executives, entrepreneurs, startups and fans to discuss the key ideas and innovations in the sports industry. BAT will also serve as the official photo sponsor, bringing former New York Knicks’ player John Starks to take pictures with attendees during the conference. This year’s On Deck will be held on Tuesday, February 12 at the Bohemian National Hall in New York City.
At the conference, Steelberg will serve as one of the select “Rapid Fire Presenters.” These solo presentations are given by leading innovators, technologists and entrepreneurs discussing emerging trends and products in sports technology. Steelberg specifically will focus on fan-engagement, including examples of how sports brands can enhance the fan’s experience through content and activation. His expertise has played a significant role in the evolution of BAT’s innovative technology, as well as its Fan Photos photography platform. Steelberg’s work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Sports Business Journal “Forty under Forty” naming him as one of the best and brightest young executives in sports business.
In addition to presenting, BAT will be sponsoring the On Deck Pitch Contest, where a group of six early-stage sports tech startups will pitch their products in front of an all-star panel. Steelberg will serve as one of the expert judges alongside luminaries Alexis Ohanian (Reddit), Matt Higgins (RSE Ventures) Eric Winter (Yahoo! Sports) Ryan Spoon (ESPN Digital Media) and Ben Lerer (Lerer Ventures).
As the official photography sponsor of the conference, BAT will introduce its unique Fan Photos photography platform to On Deck attendees. Through this platform, people will be able to have their photos taken throughout the conference and take a picture with legendary basketball player John Starks, formerly of New York Knicks. Once their photos are taken, attendees and fans can easily view and download their photos for free by visiting the Fan Photos site and entering a specific code provided to them by BAT’s photographers. The service makes it easy for anyone to find their own photo in just one step, without having to click through the thousands taken during the day.
The On Deck Conference is one of many events to showcase the Fan Photos platform. The company has already expanded its photo offerings to major brands and sporting leagues across the county. Its current partners include MLB Advanced Media, L.P., as well as individual teams such as the Boston Celtics, San Francisco Giants, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels, and St. Louis Cardinals.
