Today the 3D PDF Consortium announced it is sponsoring the upcoming 2012 Global Product Data Interoperability Summit, to be held in Chandler, Arizona. The invitation-only event hosted by Boeing and Northrop Grumman gathers leaders and decision makers from the hosts and their key suppliers to share experiences and exchange ideas on best practices for eliminating product data quality issues throughout the value chain. Several of the suppliers of information technology solutions who are founding members of the Consortium will be presenting at the conference, including: Anark, Aras, Discus, ITI, Lattice Technology, Spaceclaim, Tech Soft 3D and Tetra 4D. Details, including company, presenter, and title can be viewed at the GPDIS2012 website.
The keynote address for the conference entitled “The Foundations of Interoperability”, will be given by Nancy Bailey, Vice President of Product IT Systems for Boeing, the 3D PDF Consortium’s newest member.
“At the GPDIS 2011 conference, we proposed the idea of forming a consortium of companies, both software developers and end users, focused on driving adoption of the 3D PDF platform as a key element of interoperability and communication solutions,” states David Opsahl, former Actify CEO and Executive Director of the 3D PDF Consortium. “To return this year, not quite a year old, with a strong group of founding members and tremendous activity in the adoption of 3D PDF, is intensely gratifying and speaks volumes for the value of both the platform and the Consortium. With one-third of the presenting companies being Consortium members, we feel the attendees will see a lot of progress they can learn from. We’re very pleased to be invited back to sponsor this event, and expect to be here in the coming years.”
The Global Product Data Interoperability Summit 2012 will take place in Chandler, AZ, November 12-15th at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort. November 12th will consist of closed presentations only; the event will open to all attendees on November 13th and remain open for the remainder of the summit.
