Tucson Project LLC, a Dallas based firm who has been providing business process solutions to the government and private sector for more than 15 years, has received its Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Certification from the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE), a division within the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Dallas based firm has nationwide capabilities in providing a broad range of professional support services, including: administrative services, project management, logistics, and IT support.
Established in 1997, Tucson Project has been a SDVOSB since its inception and actively supports veterans through employment opportunities and entrepreneurial education. Currently, veterans make up 25% of the company’s workforce. Being certified as a SDVOSB will allow Tucson Project to have access to certain federal contract set-asides that are only available to CVE certified SDVOSB companies, which translates into lmore contracting opportunities with the VA. The certification also leads to increased visibility as the company is now listed in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP), a database located at vip.vetbiz.gov/., which allows federal procurement officials to search for bona fide veteran owned firms.
With offices in Dallas, Irving, Fort Worth and Washington D.C, Tucson Project has grown steadily, providing top notch client support to a number of agencies including: The United States Postal Service, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Veteran Affairs, The State of Texas and FedEx Ground.
The company’s capture strategy includes a concentrated effort to obtain VA contracts in the areas of technical support, project management, business process development and general consulting. As a Texas-based firm, the company’s ultimate goal is to be an established contractor with the VA by providing support throughout Texas.
“We are extremely excited about our continued penetration into various government markets, and the opportunity to continue serving this great nation as a premier contractor,” says Tucson President/CEO, Derick Jordan. “We are looking forward to new opportunities, leading to more partnerships and ways to continue supporting our veteran community.
