Powered by a Snapdragon S4 Prime Processor, highlights include new generation performance and several innovative features. A series of televisions and an Android TV Smart box, intelligent and connected, the HXT series of super slim LED 3D Smart TVs features an elegant borderless design (available in two screen sizes, 47" and 55").
Haier is also providing this solution in the form of a Smart box, powered by a Snapdragon S4 Prime Processor with next generation performance and innovative features. The Smart box will include an embedded camera that is easily mounted on an existing TV, transforming it into a state-of-the-art Smart TV.
Using the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core S4 Prime series MPQ8064 chipset, featuring game-console quality Adreno 320 GPU and running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the HXT products will enable the user to access an infinite number of apps, thus opening up a living room console gaming experience without the mess of separate cables and equipment. With a more affordable cost per game with Android, compared to dedicated consoles, the cost of ownership is greatly reduced.
Besides the rich list of Android apps available for this platform, Haier will continuously ensure that the platform is fully supported by the latest TV optimised VOD services and other essential video and audio streaming solutions.
“Antix is excited by its collaboration and partnership with Haier on its HXT Series and other products. Haier is taking consumers to new levels of TV-centric entertainment, enabling improved and novel experiences - these include our collaboration in deploying multi-screen, multiplayer, high quality gaming through Antix's seamless game service. What is truly thrilling is that Haier is setting the agenda and bar for the next generation of televisions without losing out on the core qualities, going well beyond traditional streaming-centric Smart TVs and adding the true capability of console-class, living room gaming inside the TV,” states Francis Charig, the Chief Executive of Antix Labs.
The HXT TVs and box come with an embedded FHD camera allowing a multitude of features from gesture control, facial recognition and video conferencing to camera-based gaming with body motion tracking.
“The HXT series aims to create a series of leading products defining Haier's next generation models by placing strong emphasis on real consumer values rather than marketing gimmickry features. Still, no TV is a great TV unless it comes with superb picture and audio quality and is easy to use. These models use latest generation, elegant, borderless LED screens with excellent colour accuracy, contrast, viewing angle and smooth motion; and a speaker system providing deep bass performance and high authenticity, all controlled via a user interface that provides excellent ease of use. The consumer will enjoy watching his sm[.]rt TV just as much as playing his Android games on it,” comments Christophe Chancenest, Sales and Marketing Director, Brown Goods at Haier Europe.
The HXT comes with a WiFi Direct connected remote that is great for everything you do with your TV. From trivial things like changing input and channel on your cable box to more advanced functions such as searching streaming content on your favourite VOD service using QWERTY keys, to even fast action console-type gaming using motion or joystick control, the HXT remote is the only thing you need in your hand and the only remote you need to see on your living room table.
The HXT series will, through WiFi Direct, enable a multitude of additional new wireless accessory options in the future.
