Horizon Forest Products and Long Floor are pleased to announce the recent opening of its newest branch in Sterling, Virginia. The facility, located at 113 Executive Drive, Suite 129, occupies 14,000 square feet and will serve hardwood customers in the Northern Virginia area.
Paul Wimer, Sterling Branch Manager, says that the traffic in the Washington, DC area is a major issue for many people doing business in Northern Virginia. Having a branch closer to this market will give customers greater and easier accessibility to the materials and supplies they need.
“We are excited about our new branch and our ability to better serve the market in Northern Virginia,” says Wimer. “This location is part of our commitment to making our customers’ lives easier by providing what they need and having it to them when they need it. This location is accessible to the largest number of people possible. We look forward to meeting many new customers, as well as serving our loyal customers in Sterling, Virginia.”
Horizon Forest Products and Long Floor employ over 100 people and operate in four states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. The Sterling location brings the total number of company branches to nine and will offer all of the hardwood flooring products and sanding/finishing products that the company currently carries in all of its branches. Horizon Forest Products Vice President, David Williams, says that most of the Sterling employees will be transferring from its Beltsville branch to ensure that customers are ready to be assisted by knowledgeable and experienced team members.
“It was very important to us that this branch be ready to go on Day One,” says Williams. “We didn’t want service to our new or existing customers to suffer due to internal training. Our team members have many years’ experience in the field and with our company. They know the products and our expectations regarding customer service and are ready to provide the same great level of service that have made us a leader in the hardwood industry. We are excited to be introducing our company to a new market and look forward to always seeking out new opportunities to grow our business into areas that we feel can serve our customers better.”
