Laura Howard has bucked the trend of the latest government figures, which reveal that an increasing number of women are facing unemployment, by winning the IAB Business Mentor of the Year Award.

Laura, owner of a bookkeeping business in Northampton, received the award from Fabian Hamilton MP, at the IAB Finance and Small Business Awards ceremony for 2012.

Mr Hamilton (President of the IAB) took time out from his busy schedule to host the awards at the Houses of Parliament on May 16th.

The International Association of Bookkeepers is the leading UK and international professional body for those providing bookkeeping and related accounting services to small businesses.
