Rivers Agency a strategic and creative web design and development partner for “The Rite of Spring at 100,” an international, year long project commemorating the centennial of the 1913 premiere of the renowned Stravinsky ballet.
Rivers’ expert online strategists proposed a captivating, stylistic design in fine detail to communicate the power and beauty of CPA’s vision. Key features of the “The Rite of Spring at 100” site include: a mobile-friendly design; compelling, media rich content incorporating audio and video clips to accompany text; and a social media interface displaying related content from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The secret for the Rivers’ designers is how skilled they are in making all the engaging elements fit.
“‘The Rite of Spring at 100’ is big, a multi-faceted re-imagination of a profoundly influential piece,” states Lauren Rivers, creative director for Rivers Agency. “The website design had to be both inspiring and informative. The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation selected CPA to receive the $750,000 grant to bring the “Rite of Spring” centennial celebration to life.
The artists and collaborators involved in CPA’s “The Rite of Spring at 100” include: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble; The Marinksy Orchestra with Valery Gergiev conducting; the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company; the SITI Company; pianist Yefim Bronfman; and Magdalena Kožená.
Events will also include academic conferences, a book on those proceedings edited by two UNC-CH music professors, and significant student engagement.
