Winter Park-based Saiphs Superior Athletic Wear – one of the nation’s leading providers of athletic clothing and apparel – recently announced a sponsorship agreement making the company the exclusive uniform supplier to the USA Eagles Football Club, the United States’ international minor league football team. The announcement comes on the heels of a series of expanded product lines and partnerships by the rapidly growing Saiphs over the past year, including a retail deal with L.A. Fitness locations in Florida and Georgia, a European launch, and contracts with high schools and universities nationwide. The USA Eagles Football Club sponsorship marks Saiphs’ first deal with a professional sports organization.
Developed by athletes for athletes, Saiphs was founded in 2009 by former professional basketball player Scott Weeden and the executive team is comprised solely of former professional and collegiate athletes. The brand has established a hallmark of high-quality compression gear in the athletic community by investing in fabric superior to bigger, more established competitors; the result is clothing that absorbs sweat better and faster than other products on the market. In addition to a guarantee to use the highest-caliber of materials available, Saiphs is committed to fostering our nation’s economy and produces 100% of its goods in the United States, as opposed to manufacturing in cheaper, foreign markets.
“This is an exciting time of growth for our company and we are thrilled to establish a partnership with the USA Eagles Football Club as our first exclusive deal with a professional sports organization,” said Thomas Flowers, Saiphs’ National Director of Team Sales. “It’s appropriate that the hard-working members of this football organization will represent our country worldwide while wearing Saiphs 100% American-made uniform jerseys and pants.”
A founding member of the U.S. Federation of American Football, the USA Eagles Football Club was established in 2002 by Rudy Wyland and has provided more than 350 athletes with post-collegiate careers in nine countries. The team travels worldwide to compete against European and North American national and club-level teams. To date, the Eagles have competed in more than 30 international competitions – more than any other football organization in the world – since its inception. The new season will kick off in July.
“I’m eager to begin a new season that will take the USA Eagles around the world to represent our country,” said Shane Cheltenham, star wide receiver for the USA Eagles Football Club. “The whole experience of playing for this team – from practice to league events to the games – is a dream come true and I look forward to pushing my limits and taking our team to the next level of competition wearing high-quality uniforms made by a truly American brand that are both practical and comfortable.”
General consumers can purchase real and replica USA Eagles jerseys on Saiphs’ website beginning in early June, and jerseys will be sold at a team game in Florence, Italy in July.
