Halogen Software today announced that OHL, a leading third party logistics provider (3PL), has made the switch to Halogen’s award-winning talent management solution. OHL now relies on Halogen to help drive talent management strategy for more than 7000 employees across 130 locations worldwide.
Prior to Halogen, OHL was using an online system from another talent management vendor that wasn’t intuitive; managers and employees found it frustrating and time-consuming to use. Similarly, from an administrative perspective the system lacked the flexibility to allow OHL’s HR team to complete common administrative functions without vendor support, and yet obtaining customer service and support from the vendor was difficult.
To replace its legacy system, OHL reviewed multiple talent management vendors and selected Halogen based on the talent management leader’s high customer satisfaction ratings, and the ease of use and affordability of its solution. OHL purchased the Halogen eAppraisalTM, Halogen eLearning ManagerTM and Halogen Job Description BuilderTM modules, and the transition to Halogen has been positive.
“Making the switch to Halogen Software was quick and easy. Throughout the transition, the Halogen team was extremely responsive and reliable,” said Tia Smith, Manager, Learning and Organizational Development, OHL. “Our expectations for both the new system and Halogen’s customer service have been exceeded every step of the way.”
Employee performance is a day-to-day priority at OHL, and the seamless integration of Halogen’s modules helps OHL to create a holistic approach to talent management. For example, OHL has now incorporated employee training and learning management within the performance management process itself, instead of as a separate function as was the case with its legacy system. HR and managers can now easily assign appropriate training and employees are able to execute performance-related tasks on their own.
“Since moving to Halogen as our talent management vendor of choice, feedback has been extremely positive from our employees, managers and executives,“ explained Smith. “Everyone is saving time compared to our previous system, and we are seeing a 50% reduction in time spent on talent management related tasks. More importantly, we have greater visibility into talent management and have the tools we need to effectively manage performance and drive real business results. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with Halogen.”
