BRP's Austrian affiliate received the award for exemplary workplace health promotion at a ceremony held at the Old City Hall in Linz on February 8, 2012.
As one of the region’s largest vocational training enterprises, BRP was involved in the model project “U21” from December 2007 to August 2009 – a health project initiated by the OÖGKK which was specifically oriented towards young employees and apprentices.
The Austrian network for workplace health promotion initiated the BGF Seal of Quality three years ago to ensure the quality of workplace health promotion in Austria. The Seal of Quality is the outwardly visible sign when a company implements sustainable measures for workplace health promotion.
“The safety and health of all employees rank foremost at BRP. In addition to numerous key health promotion activities, e.g. a company-owned health and fitness centre which all employees and their relatives can use, BRP also particularly emphasizes the health promotion of apprentices,” says DI Thomas Loibl, BRP-Powertrain site manager.
BRP's Austrian facility trains its apprentices in seven technical professions ranging from mechatronic technician to engine vehicle technician as well as office management assistant.
