Launched in May 2011, DAMRAK II is an upgraded version of DAMRAK launched in 2009 and owned by a French client. The yacht is the sixth unit of the popular 70 Sunreef Power model offered since 2008. This model has been designed by the Sunreef Yachts design studio with the assistance of Laurent Bourgnon, a famous French sailor and owner of the first unit (JAMBO – now in French Polynesia). It was designed as a fast and stable power vessel with a fine-tuned line of the hull and its underwater section. The streamlined hull helps to take advantage of the wave power and reduce fuel consumption, especially when combined with low draft and light hull structure.
With its equipment that includes: Jacuzzi on the sun deck, a jet ski with a purpose-built crane, Seabob for discovering underwater treasures, scuba diving equipment, swim platforms with ladders, complete LED TV in saloon and all cabins and audio equipment with Bose Lifestyle sound system, owner’s suite with a spacious bathroom and luxury guest cabins finished in genuine Canaletto walnut wood and cream Alcantara, DAMRAK II is an ideal yacht for holiday and charter cruises.
The interior of the yacht is divided into the common living space and private cabins. The spacious living-room is accessible from the cockpit. The living-room is combined with the dining-room and fully equipped kitchen (four-zone induction cooker, microwave oven, two electric ovens, large refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, wine chiller, ice dispenser, many storage compartments and bar-table). Three double guest cabins with individual bathrooms and one crew cabin are available directly from the living-room. In the mid-ship section, there is a lower helm with complete navigation, communication and control equipment. Another comfortable sofa in this area means the captain need never drive alone. The helm station leads to the owner’s cabin located in the foredeck section, along the fly bridge. The owner’s cabin is furnished with a king-size bed, desk, sofa, night tables, wardrobes, private wine cellar and a spacious bathroom with separated shower and toilets located in the starboard hull. Panoramic views of the sea can be enjoyed from the beamwide owner's cabin. From the lower helm station, the sunny flybridge – the Sunreef trademark – is accessible.
The sun deck is a place where traveling by sea can be most enjoyed. In addition to the flybridge, there is also a cocktail bar with two bar chairs, barbecue equipment, small fridge, ice maker, storage and dining table with sofa and armchairs, Jacuzzi, sunbathing mattresses and a jet ski lowered with a special crane.
The cockpit of DAMRAK II is an ideal place to relax from burning sun or have lunch with friends in refreshing sea breeze. The cockpit is furnished with a large dining table, sofa, chairs, resting mattresses, a wash basin for quick freshening up and small handy refrigerator. Supplies for longer journeys or water toys can be neatly hidden in storage compartments.More sunbathing mattresses with special drink holders can be found in the bow section.
DAMRAK II is the first Sunreef power yacht equipped entirely in LED lights by HYPE ENERGY LED. This means longevity (30.000 to 50.000 hours of life without having to change a light bulb), less heat more light (LED give 95%light and 5% heat, in case of regular lights it’s opposite), much lower energy consumption thus lower fuel consumption and more environment friendly with less CO2 emissions. LED create also more intimate ambience and can be regulated with dimmers.
As for green energy, DAMRAK II also has solar panels installed on the roof of the flybridge.
