As required by the Federal government, each employee will have to “opt-in” to receive their W2 as an electronic file in their email inbox, which will be delivered as a PDF attachment that can be optionally password protected.
UBCC’s eW2 offers significant benefits for both the employee and the business. “The employee will have immediate access to their eW2's which can be saved in their email system and/or forwarded to their accountant – which eliminates any potential issues with the paper delivery method such as slow deliver or non-delivery via snail mail by the U.S. Post Office,” said Garen.
