The CE600/CE602 KVM Extenders provide access to a computer or KVM switch from a remote console (USB keyboard, monitor and mouse). The CE600/CE602 is ideal in a range of installations such as manufacturing, security, healthcare and more. In industrial environments, for example, users can access and configure computers located in hazardous environments from a remote, safe location.
With support for RS-232 functionality, users can connect the CE600/CE602 to a serial terminal or devices such as touchscreens and barcode scanners located within movie theaters, retail stores and restaurants. The CE600/CE602 both support high video resolutions from long distances and feature built-in, exclusive ATEN technology that allows the transmission of audio and video signals over one CAT5e cable. The CE600 utilizes CAT5e cable to support video resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200[.]60Hz at a distance of 30 meters (Single Link DVI). For resolutions as high as 2560 x 1600[.]60Hz from 40 meters (Dual Link DVI), the CE602 can leveraged when combined with a second CAT5e cable for the transfer of HDCP, RS-232, microphone and dual-link signals. From 60 meters away, the CE600/CE602 extenders can support a resolution of 1024 x 768[.]60Hz. Additionally, both models support manual compensation control where users can adjust video signal strength in order to compensate for distance.
"Our new KVM extenders are an ideal solution for any installation with computers that are kept in controlled spaces,"said Kevin Chen, President of ATEN International. "With computers are located in a secure area, users are provided with convenient access to a console in a safe location -- away from dust and harsh environment influences."

About KVM Switches-An Essential Server Management Device
A KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) switch is an advanced, hardware-based solution that allows centralized access to multiple computers easily and conveniently from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse. A KVM switch is useful in an extensive range of environments, suitable for SOHO users, small and medium businesses, and large corporations. Fundamentally, a KVM switch allows server rooms and data centers to optimize rack space in the IT environment, reducing costs and the clutter of keyboards, monitors and mice. Additional benefits include savings in energy consumption, server racks, cabinets, and floor space. Since a KVM switch provides access to a number of computers from a central location, IT professionals are no longer running from one server to the next, thereby streamlining workflow and increasing productivity. To meet the ever-developing needs of the globalized economy and the Internet, KVM solutions now have over-IP functionality for remote management capability that better fulfills the demands of corporations who need to manage multiple server rooms worldwide.
ATEN International Co., Ltd (aten.com) specializes in information technology connectivity solutions. Established in 1979, today ATEN is considered the leading manufacturer of KVM Switches worldwide. This prominent position was reached through a constant high investment in research and development, resulting in numerous patents exemplified by the production of a sophisticated ASIC that was developed in the ATEN labs and manufactured in ATEN factories.
