Award-winning training management system provider, accessplanit, has followed up on June’s Ten Ways to Automate Your Training, by launching its latest free whitepaper report, entitled: An Investigation Into The Hidden Benefits of LMS, and how to Earn Significant ROI.
This latest in a series of whitepaper report focuses attention on how training professionals can get the most from their Learning Management System (LMS), and ensure that they use it in a way that maximises their return on investment.
The whitepaper is split into sections, with the initial focus on what an LMS is and the traditional benefits. The report then looks at some of the alternative uses of an LMS, and also the benefits that many training professionals may not be clear about, and may not have ever put into practice.
For instance, while reporting is one clear benefit that online platforms can bring to training providers, few may see the benefit in using that reporting mechanism to ensure that companies stay in line with legislation and regulations. Where employees are required, by law, to be trained to a certain level, an LMS can notify of certificate expiry dates and remove the risk of human error.
Dave Evans, commercial director at accessplanit, explained: “This latest whitepaper is really an opportunity for the LMS experts at accessplanit to reveal some of the benefits that many training executives may not know about – ensure that these individuals are using their LMS to its maximum potential. This is a matter of course for our clients, and as we develop new pieces of software with new functionality, we let clients know. However, we wanted to get a wider message across to the training industry, and this whitepaper report helps us to do that.”
The whitepaper report also gives readers an insight into how an LMS is effectively used within an organisation, with accessplanit client Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust being put under the spotlight on this occasion. The case study covers how the organisation uses the accessplanit LMS and how it puts some of the hidden benefits to good use, in terms of keeping employees’ trained up to the correct legislative standard.
Evans added: "Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust is a great example of an organisation using the LMS to its full effect, and rounded off the whitepaper report really well. Hopefully it will inspire others in the training world to make better use of their LMS, or take steps to incorporating the software into their business.”
