Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 2011/09/13 - As the demand for device management continues to grow, Print Audit® releases two translated versions of Facilities Manager - PrintAudit.com.
In a collaborative effort between Print Audit North America and Print Audit Europe, Facilities Manager is now available in Italian, German and English. With this release, Print Audit® is taking its first steps to localize its products to meet a global demand for device management and increase accessibility for users throughout the world.
The languages supported by a software solution can severely restrict an organization to particular geographical regions and limit access to the software for many users. However, with the rapid global expansion Print Audit has experienced in the last few years, the print management company did not want to be limited by language barriers. Working closely with its European head office in the United Kingdom, Print Audit plans to roll out Facilities Manager in Portuguese, French, Spanish and Russian.
With the new release, the Facilities Manager web portal is updated automatically so all changes are already implemented and no action is required on the user’s part. To change the language in Facilities Manager, the user navigates to the “My Profile” page and changes the language option.
Print Audit also released version 1.12.0 of the Information Collection Engine (ICE). ICE gathers information for Facilities Manager by tracking and scanning devices from all major manufacturers and when incorporated with Print Audit 6, it can accurately track local printers. In the newest release, ICE has improved scanning accuracy for a number of devices including Canon, Kyocera, OKI, Ricoh and many other manufacturers.
Through ICE’s automatic update function, the program will periodically check for a new version and will automatically download and install the update. Alternatively, users can reinstall ICE manually by downloading the update from printaudit.com/.
