Launch Leads, a three-year-old company, was recognized Tuesday by Governor Gary R. Herbert at his round table luncheon. Brandt Page, CEO and founder of Launch Leads, was privileged to be the youngest CEO in attendance at the round table initiated by the Utah Technology Council (utahtech.org) to discuss workforce needs, industry opportunities, industry challenges and what is needed to continue growing the business sector in Utah.
“Being such a young company, it was an honor to be recognized by the Governor,” Page said.
Although it is unique for such a young company to be included among successful companies such as Rocky Mountain Power, Ancestry.com, Crocker Ventures and Allegiance, the success of Launch Leads is worth recognizing.
In just three years Launch has become one of the fastest growing companies in Utah. The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum recently named Launch one of the top 25 businesses under five years old. Additionally, due to his innovative forward thinking, Page was named the Emerging Executive of the Year by the Utah Technology Council and the Governor in 2009 and was elected into the 2010 and 2011 vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs.
Page’s all-American approach to business, bootstrapping mentality, and values of hard work and integrity have allowed Launch Leads to increase revenue 500 percent each year without the use of investment dollars. Additionally, Launch is contributing to Utah’s high-ranking economy by hiring an increasing number of employees each month to accommodate the company’s growth.
“It’s so exciting to be a part of Utah’s growing economy,” said Page. “We brought to market a business that people actually needed, and as a result, we are able to give back by creating more jobs and that is such a rewarding feeling.”
Among the topics discussed by Governor Herbert were venture funding, government regulations stunting the growth of businesses and how to overcome it, and education and its impact on employee quality. It is notable that such a young company was invited to contribute ideas, showing that Launch is on target with its approach to business.
The final outcome of the luncheon was to ensure that the state is doing everything possible to build the technology and life sciences sectors in Utah, and to have the necessary programs and initiatives in place to help businesses expand.
