Openet, the most innovative provider of Service Optimization Software (SOS) to tier one communications and media service providers, today announces that that its Profile Manager product was named a Distinguished Honoree in the 2011 International Business Awards. This position represents the fifth year in a row in which an Openet product or solution has been recognized by International Business Award organizers, with Subscriber Data Management named a Distinguished Honoree in the 2010 program.
The International Business Awards program is a comprehensive set of global awards that look to honor outstanding performances in business over the past year. Nicknamed the Stevie®for the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented to honorees at a gala event on Tuesday, October 11 at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Openet’s Profile Manager product is designed to break down the barriers between siloed subscriber information like subscription plan, past purchases and location, and put them into a centralized repository to make the data actionable for cable, wireless and/or wireline operators looking to better serve their customers. With these complex layers of data reorganized as a robust single view of the constellation of subscriber information, the operator gains the ability to make well informed, real time revenue-enhancing decisions. Only Openet enables the kind of services and personalization that integrate all three dimensions of a subscriber’s behavior: purchase behavior, network access and service usage.
Honorees were selected from more than 3,000 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 nations.
“Entries to The International Business Awards grew by more than 80 percent this year, and that illustrates the increasing importance of the IBAs worldwide,” said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards, presenters of the IBAs. “We congratulate all of the honorees, and we look forward to recognizing them for their achievements at our gala event in Abu Dhabi on October 11.”
Honorees were determined through two rounds of judging by professionals worldwide.
“Today’s operators need to step up to the plate when it comes to personalization, or risk losing competitive ground,” said Niall Norton, CEO of Openet. “Openet’s Profile Manager product was developed with the specific goal of enabling operators in any market to easily access sets of meaningful data in a useful way. Already, operators that have deployed the product are seeing the benefits of having this more useful view of subscriber behavior when it comes to customer retention and loyalty. This is only the beginning for this product category, and Openet is proud to be ahead of the pack in providing operators with a comprehensive, usable platform for profile management.”
