Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR), the technology performance company, today announced that industry analyst firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has ranked Compuware the world’s third largest system management Software-as- a-Service (SaaS) vendor. HP ranked first and IBM ranked second. Compuware had the highest growth rate of the top five vendors.
According to IDC’s market analysis report titled: “Worldwide System Management Software-as-a-Service 2011-2015 Forecast and 2010 Vendor Shares,” Compuware’s Application Performance Management (APM) business unit ranked third, with SaaS revenue estimated at $49.0 million, representing an 11.5 percent market share. Compuware’s 18.1 percent growth rate from 2009 to 2010 was the highest out of the top five vendors and higher than the top two vendors combined (HP at -4.5 percent and IBM at 1.7 percent). Compuware’s high growth moved it to third place in 2010, up from fifth place in 2009.
