A new scheme to help the country's travellers and tourists lessen their chances of being ripped off when purchasing car hire excess insurance has been launched by Carrentals.co.uk. The online car hire price comparator is now home to a campaign to stop people having to pay as much as £2,000 for their excess insurance policies when signing up to them at rental car collection time.
Up to half of people who take out insurance policies at car pickup time have confessed that they feel ripped off by car hire excess insurance policies. Furthermore many drivers reported that they often find later on that policies do not cover them for lost keys, damage to car windscreens or tyres and other essentials.
