Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of custom high voltage power conversion products, announced today that it has acquired the assets of the Lorad LPX product line from Hologic, Inc. (HOLX), the premier provider of medical systems for women’s health care.
The Lorad LPX is a line of portable industrial X-Ray systems, and further expands Spellman’s presence in the NDT marketplace. The LPX complements Spellman’s current NDT offerings, which include the XRV generator series (160-450kV and 1.8-6kW) and its line of Monoblock® X-Ray sources.

Under terms of the deal, Spellman (spellmanhv.com) will continue to market the LPX product line under the Lorad NDT brand. Production of the product line will be moved to Spellman’s high voltage production facility in Valhalla, New York. Key Lorad personnel will join Spellman to support and manage this business.
