Xi An, Shaanxi, China, 2011/05/27 - Probecom 7.3M motorized tracking antenna is a new satellite communication earth station antenna.The structure system is composed of three major components: antenna pedestal, antenna reflector and feed system.
Antenna pedestal use the Az.-over-El pedestal, which consists of the kingpost, upper tripod, Slant supports feet, azimuth adjustment mechanism and elevation adjustment mechanism, azimuth and elevation resolver structure, etc.
The antenna is Ring-focus antenna, and consists of main-reflector, sub-reflector, reflector skeleton, feed horn, etc. The advantage of the ring-focus antenna is that it can make the electromagnetic wave radiated from the feed horn to the center changed, the electromagnetic wave will reflected from the sub-reflector to the main reflector edge, and the electromagnetic wave that into the sub-reflector will reflected to the main reflector center. It is easy for the ring-focus antenna to handle the contradiction of the primary occlusion and secondary occlusion, which will help to achieve high gain, low side lobe and good VSWR.
Antenna reflector consists of a hub, 16 individual panels and 16 back structure struts. The antenna is a complete structure system on which 16 panels are connected by bolts and then connected with hub and back support struts. The structure is designed with the rigidity and strength as well as high surface accuracy.
Antenna operation mainly means pointing adjustment and polarization adjustment.
Probecom 7.3M satellite communication earth station antenna use ACU to adjust the antenna pointing. Pointing adjustment includes azimuth and elevation adjustment. After the equipments are assembled, adjust antenna pointing according to the azimuth and elevation data and combined with electrical adjustment to ensure the antenna in the optimum position and operating state.
