AOC, the global leader in display manufacturing, today said that it was determined to consolidate its leading position in the display business by entering new markets such as Pakistan.
AOC is an in-house brand of the US$ 11 billion conglomerate TPV Technology Limited, the world’s largest manufacturer of flat-screen monitors. Last year, despite the global downturn, the Taiwan-headquartered company, which manufactures monitors and LCD display units for major consumer electronics companies, shipped 67 million monitor units across the globe commanding a staggering 33% per cent of the worldwide monitor market.
In 2010, AOC achieved impressive sales performance in Asia-Pacific and South America. AOC is now the world wide number 6 brand and in Asia Pacific it is ranked number 1 brand on the overall bundled and non bundled segment.
While the company’s main markets are China, the Americas, Indian Subcontinent and Europe, the company now aims to aggressively expand its footprint by focusing on the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
On a year-to-year basis, AOC has maintained an average growth of above 20 per cent for the past three years.

Brian pointed out the LCD market is evolving at a faster rate in these regions and AOC will be leveraging on their business partners to drive the sales in these crucial markets. “With years of in-depth market experiences, strong product knowledge, keen customer insights, powerful manufacturing background, sound cost structure, and solid financial standing AOC has the key to growth in this region,” he said.
