Lund, Sweden, 2011/05/23 - Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, will host a series of ONVIF meetings at Axis’ headquarters in Lund, Sweden this week. NASDAQ OMX: AXIS
The meetings will take place May 24-27, 2011 and include delegates from ONVIF member organizations including Bosch, Sony, HIKvision and Siemens.
ONVIF is an open industry forum for the development of a global standard for the interface of IP-based security products. Established by Axis, Bosch and Sony in 2008, ONVIF is an independent organization with a focus on interoperability. Its membership is nearly 300 companies and more than 800 ONVIF-conformant products have been released.
The meeting in Lund is a general ONVIF meeting where all committees and work groups will meet. Across the four-day schedule, delegates will discuss ONVIF’s efforts to extend its scope to create a global standard for physical access control systems as well as other updates on the forum’s future direction.
