The OutStart submission highlights three personalization technologies that are part of OutStart LCMS and used by OutStart customers. These include:
• Personalization through Administration: OutStart customers define a profile to match a user to specific content. This personalization technology has been used by OutStart customers for the past 10 years.
• Personalization through Prescription: OutStart customers match content to users based on knowledge gaps. It is the most common use of prescriptive technology on the market today.
• Personalization through User-choice: OutStart customers are not required to define pre-conceptions of the content’s suitability. Instead a learner picks which lessons are appropriate and the LCMS builds the course on the fly in whichever format they request. This is the most cutting edge example of prescriptive learning today.
