World Television, the leading video communications agency for corporations and governments, today announces that its CEO, Steve Garvey, has accepted an invitation to sit on the International Visual Communications Association’s Board of Directors. Effective immediately Steve will join the 11-strong Board to assist in overseeing the Association’s activities.
The International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) – the largest professional body of its kind in Europe – is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation. It represents the producers and commissioners of film, video, digital and live event communication within the public and private sectors. The IVCA’s Board comprises experts from a range of different sectors across the industry and is responsible for ensuring the association continues to deliver value to its members, in order to promote effective business and public service communications of the highest ethical and professional standards.
“I am very pleased to accept this invitation to join the IVCA’s Board”, Steve says,“The IVCA is the leading European body for our industry and a fantastic resource for both its members and the wider commissioning public. I look forward to working together with my fellow Board Directors to drive the momentum of the organisation to ensure it continues to serve the best interests of its members”.
Marco Forgione, CEO of the IVCA, says “I am delighted that Steve is joining the IVCA Board to help drive forward the Association at this key time for the sector.
“Over the past couple of years the IVCA’s profile and reputation have been substantially raised, culminating in us being appointed to spearhead the UK Government’s creative industries development plans in the emerging markets of China, Mexico and Brazil. Steve’s experience and leadership of a multi-national business will further enhance the IVCA’s position as the global centre of excellence.”
