CHINDIA Forum 2006 successfully concluded with raves from attendees about the interaction with senior supply chain executives, the diversity and relevance of sessions and the take-home knowledge that they received.
Mr. Vishnu Prakash, a diplomat of 25 years' standing with a strong background in Economic and Commercial matters, inaugurated the CHINDIA Forum. He pointed out that India was the second fastest growing economy in the world with a retail market of over $ 350 billion. He termed India China ties as 'WIN WIN' that were growing and broadening at a rapid pace. He went on to talk about major industrial and economic sectors in India, delineating a host of emerging business opportunities in sectors including infrastructure, telecom, automobiles and components and consumer goods. The Consul General attended the forum despite his busy schedule, staying back to listen to Mr. Laurentius Meetal, the Managing Director Lehman & Co.
