IDT Retail Europe today launched its new Red Cross International Calling Card. The Red Cross calling card will save consumers from 50 percent up to 94 percent of calling costs compared to regular international long distance rates while supporting Red Cross’ global relief mission. IDT will donate 10% of the face value of each card sold directly to the Red Cross Relief and Development Fund.
Red Cross communications officer Andreas Jansson stated,"We are delighted to have partnered with IDT. The Phone Card is a great opportunity to make cheap calls all over the world while supporting the Red Cross. The distribution in stores all over the country make the card easy to come by for anyone interested. We hope and believe that the Red Cross Calling Card will appeal to many customers.”
Not only is the card suited for international calls, but it is also a ‘Dual Use’ calling card, allowing both internet access and international calling from WiFi hotspots over the The Cloud network. Not only inexpensive in use, this service is billed per second so you only pay for what you use. 'Dual Use' calling cards support both PC and Mobile phone internet data.
Alexandre Moraga, Managing Director of IDT Retail Europe said,“This is a great way for IDT to ‘give back’ to the world community and is consistent with our corporate policy. The launch this week in Sweden was just the first step to a multi-country launch of Red Cross cards throughout Europe.”
