Dallas, TX, United States, 2006/09/20 - Ron Widup, executive vice president of Shermco Industries, led a technical presentation on the current technologies available to analyze cable infrastructure for the Fort Worth Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers..
Power Engineering Society on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at The Petroleum Club of Fort Worth.
“Cable infrastructure is one of the hardest pieces of a power system to quantify,” Widup said. “There are not a lot of things out there to tell you if your service-aged cables are going to last for another five, 10 or 15 years.”
Widup will talk about the pros and cons for some new and improving technologies that help technical personnel more accurately determine the useful or remaining life of service-aged service cables.
