CAMS Connect is the new name for the Three Rivers Systems annual users conference set for June 13 through 16, in St. Louis. Company Founder and President Amir Tajkarimi said the four-day meeting will retain the format and content making it the valuable event it has been for the past 25 years.
"As we move into our second quarter century of bringing the best possible academic management solutions to higher education, we want to emphasize the importance of the annual users group meeting as a venue for learning, sharing and collaboration," Tajkarimi said.
"We are an international company with clients throughout the U.S. and from around the globe who join us at this annual event where they can 'connect' with other world-class academic management practitioners and colleagues." Tajkarimi added that this year's event will focus much of its attention on collaboration and networking.
This year's enhanced agenda covers a broad range of end-user needs regardless of one's level of expertise. Attendees will be able to personalize programs specific to their needs while finding many opportunities to strengthen knowledge, learn best practices and gain valuable insights.
Sessions this year will include discussions of CAMS Enterprise’s role in enhancing fundraising with professional marketing tools; streamlining recruitment and application processing; best practices for improving registration and course management; and much more.
CAMS Connect 2011 will be held in centrally located Chesterfield, Mo., just 30 minutes from the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and downtown St. Louis. The DoubleTree Hotel & Conference Center with 223 guestrooms and 91,000-square-foot athletic facility offers many amenities including lounges, restaurants, a sports bar, jogging track, walking track, swimming, tennis and a fitness center. Guest rooms are specially priced at $95 a night when reservations are made before May 17.
As in past years, the users conference will include an opening day thank-you dinner and an evening entertainment event later in the week. A dinner-and-movie night will feature a family-style Italian dinner at "The Spaghetti Factory" followed by a private showing at the Chesterfield Galaxy 14 Cine of the "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz.
"Three Rivers Systems is a global company with clients joining us from around the world, so traveling from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean in the same evening seems only fitting," Tajkarimi said.
