Draper, UT, United States, 2006/09/19 - This month's seminar to be held Wednesday, September 20, 2006.
Continuing to educate Utah entrepreneurs through its popular "How to Raise Money in Utah" seminar, the Wayne Brown Institute (WBI) today announced the event's next occurrence will be Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the campus of Neumont University in South Jordan, Utah.
Entrepreneurship and venture capital experts David Angerbauer (Holland & Hart), Larry Rigby (ZARS Pharma) and Devin Thorpe (Thorpe Capital) will give presentations on the basics of fundraising and how and when service professionals add value. In addition, they will provide attendees with valuable insight on raising money from the perspective those who have recently been successful at doing so. As always, an "anything goes" question and answer session will follow the three speakers' remarks.
"We are continually grateful for the support and participation of those who give of their knowledge and talents to help educate Utah's business and entrepreneurial community," said Brad Bertoch, president of WBI. "In learning how to raise capital it is always good to know someone who has raised capital, someone who has capital and someone who can introduce you to capital. We gear these seminars to be of the most value to those who need to raise money now or in the future. We make a concerted effort to give them access to the information and tools they will need to successfully close on the funding they require."
Sponsors for the two-hour seminar include the Governor's Office of Economic Development (goed.utah.gov), Holland & Hart (hollandhart.com), Manufacturing Extension Partnership (mep.org), Miller Business Innovation Center (slcc.edu/miller/mbic), NASDAQ (nasdaq.com), Neumont University (neumont.edu), Thorpe Capital (thorpecapital.com), ZARS Pharma (zars.com) and Zion's Bank (zionsbank.com).
