The company has successfully developed centrifugal compressors with unique design features that accommodate varied end user requirements. Cameron's Turbo Air range of compressors provides its users with innovative features, increased operating efficiencies and industry leading product support services.
"Cameron manufactures high quality, reliable and energy-efficient products," notes Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Rajita Sahitya. "Its products are less complex, highly durable, have long lifetimes and require reduced maintenance costs."
With the introduction of the Maestro Universal Control Panel in 2009, Cameron has promoted easy usage together with quick detection and rectification of faults, thus reducing downtime. Maintenance costs are drastically reduced due to the lack of wearing parts, and no required replacements.
"The Turbo Air series of oil-free centrifugal compressors have evolved over the years to turn into highly reliable, energy-efficient and easy-to-maintain products," states Sahitya. "Their superior aerodynamic design makes them the preferred choice of many sectors such as food and beverage, power generation, oil and gas and other niche applications including textiles and PET bottle blowing."
Moreover, they are oil-free by design, thus eliminating the possibility of any contamination by oil, as in the case of other compressor technologies.
Cameron's TAC-2000 has a unique design featuring packaged air coolers. This is especially beneficial for facilities lacking adequate cooling water supply. Since water is not required for the system, this eliminates the costs involved for piping, installation and maintaining the water and the cooling system.
The company focuses on market needs and changing demands. For instance, the new range of products launched in 2009; the TA-2040, has the basic features offered by its previous model, the TA-2020. The TA-2040 was specifically designed to achieve high pressures which are required for the PET bottle blowing market. These compressors may also be used in other specific applications like fossil fuelled power plants and nitrogen gas boosting.
"With almost over 55 years of experience and expertise in designing and manufacturing centrifugal air compressors for various end users such as food packaging, PET bottle blowing, air separation, pharmaceutical development and chemical manufacturing, Cameron has built a unique place for itself in this market," concludes Sahitya. "The company is poised to leverage on its gains in the future."
The Product Differentiation Excellence Award is presented to the company that has excelled in the following criteria: unique features/functionality, quality/complexity, customisation, matched to target markets needs and brand perception of the uniqueness of the product.
