Expanding it’s corporate presence, PlattForm, a Kansas City-based marketing and public relations firm specializing in higher education, has announced the opening of a new office in Chicago, Ill. The new location allows PlattForm to better service its clients in the Chicago area and the Northeast, a group that includes Career Education Corporation, Corinthian Colleges, Inc. and Westwood College (Alta Colleges).
“A presence in the upper-Midwest allows us to serve clients in and around the area more efficiently,” said Brad Gibbs, Chief Growth Officer. “This provides our clients a certain level of comfort knowing that if they need to schedule a meeting, their ad agency is right in their own backyard.”
The office is managed by Daron Rodriguez, a marketing strategist who joined PlattForm in March. He will continue to work primarily within the adult continuing education market to develop partnerships and services among four-year colleges and universities.
In addition to adult learning clients, Rodriguez, former Vice President of Marketing and Admissions for American InterContinental University – Atlanta, a CEC school, is focusing on enhancing relationships with CEC and other career education providers.
“Having a strong understanding firsthand of what our clients’ challenges are is vital. Given my experience within the career college sector, I understand the budget concerns, challenges, and other issues our clients face,” Rodriguez said. “I’m not just here to generate leads for our clients.

PlattForm’s announcement comes less than a month after another expansion move with the company’s acquisition of PFP Advertising Inc., an Internet lead generation company. PFP owns a variety of websites that generate leads and potential student enrollments for the postsecondary education industry, including uscollegesearch.org, technical-schools-guide.com, californiacollegesearch.com and vocational-schools-guide.com.
During fiscal year 2005, PlattForm provided marketing solutions for more than 2,600 schools for a combined annual billing of more than $100 million.
