Brighton, Sussex, United Kingdom, 2011/02/22 - Econsultancy and Guava have this month launched the 2011 UK Search Engine Marketing Benchmark Survey, aimed at providing insights about the latest trends in paid search and search engine optimisation.
The annual research report, now in its fifth year, has become established as the bellwether report for the UK search marketing industry.
The research covers industry developments such as real-time search and paid search advertising on social networks.
The survey, which is open until 18 March 2011, is aimed at UK digital marketers working both client-side for advertisers and for agencies. The survey contains questions about search budgets, effectiveness, return on investment and individual search engines.
Those who take the survey will get a free copy of the report (normally worth £250) just before it is published on the Econsultancy website.
Guava, a digital agency and sponsor of the research since its inception in 2007, will host a launch event in London in May 2011, where the key findings will be presented.
Econsultancy Research Director Linus Gregoriadis said: “We are particularly excited about this year’s 5th anniversary research because there is so much changing in the industry. Companies are increasingly having to think about social media, local and mobile marketing, whilst also keeping on top of changes to search engine algorithms, evolving technology and emerging web properties.”
Eve Hyland, Marketing Manager, Guava, added: “The digital marketing landscape has evolved considerably since Guava first launched the UK Search Engine Marketing Benchmark Report five years ago. Today, it still provides digital marketers with a trusted, must-read barometer of the essential trends and spends affecting SEO, PPC and social media marketing, which we’re offering free to eligible participants.”
