Too often in life we’re told, “You’re just not good enough… that idea will never work… your dreams are too big… that’s not possible in the real world.” Society would lead us to believe anything outside of its definition of “normal” is doomed to fail.
It’s due to this doubt-filled outlook that when hearing of an outlandish success story we are quick listen with great intent. How did they do it? The mind desperately tries to absorb every bit of knowledge it can because if it was possible for them, then it might be possible for us.
InterviewHer.com is a website for those who wish to dream big! Who said a great idea and its fresh-faced innovator wasn’t worthy of entrepreneurial success?
It gets better! InterviewHer.com isn’t just for any business starter; rather we specialize in female entrepreneurs. We want to know about her, who she is and what motivated the birth of her company. While there might be other sites out there encouraging the everyday self-started business with tips on how to succeed… we are different. We look for the innovative, interesting and out-of-the-box companies. We love it when our readers finish an article thinking, “why didn’t I think of that?!”
This exact thought is what prompted owner/founder, Jenny Ortiz, to start InterviewHer.com. From the get-go Jenny has always been highly motivated and driven, it’s this drive (and skill) that got her on an the NFL's Miami Dolphins cheerleading squad. The experiences on the team allowed her to meet many talented, independent and highly motivated women.
Jenny's interest in successful women, and entrepreneurs in general, grew as she landed the position of Executive Recruiter for Global Recruiters Network of Miami. It’s here that she placed Executives worldwide. For 3 years she built a large client and candidate database, always with genuine care and interest in the people she was working with. During this time she heard so many stories about business endeavors, along with both failed and prevailed ideas.
Taking all this knowledge and experience, Jenny decided to act upon one of her “big dreams” and opened up her own company, Tea Time Cakes. The cake making business was a success, but this didn’t stop her from continuously meeting new businesswomen and the companies they started. Each lady brought with them a new story holding wisdom, insight, risk and excitement. These ladies, their stories, and big dreams are what finally brought to fruition InterviewHer.com.
Today, InterviewHer.com is growing and gaining recognition one article (and talented writer) at a time. People see in the sight what Jenny first saw, “Always being intrigued and inspired by stories of risk takers and the entrepreneurs who start from scratch turning their wild eyed pipe dreams into reality is what motivated me. This is especially true when women start the businesses, and the services or items offered are appealing to me. I feel that if I like the company, product, idea or stories behind them, so to will other like-minded, stylish and contemporary women. So I wanted to have a place where women can both learn and promote each other.”
Women of all types and business may be featured on InterviewHer.com (plus a few savvy guys, we don't discriminate). We reach out to companies that we think every woman should know about, we also encourage women who own great companies to E: us and very briefly tell us about themselves and their companies.
While the site is about letting women know of great companies/services/hotspots owned by other ladies alike, it’s also for women who want to be inspired in the area of owning a business and learning what it takes to get to the point of their success as an independent female entrepreneur. This concept is what sets InterviewHer.com apart from other websites. We want to teach and give inside scoop from real life experience. This way the next time someone says her “big dream” will remain just that, she’ll know better!
