Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, 09/11/2006 – Latin America Technology Focus (LatAm Tech Focus) offers detailed analysis of technology market trends in the region. The document is designed for IT executives, from the CIO to channel rep, with exposure to the Latin American market. On average, the publication ranges from five to ten pages. It is organized by geography rather than technology. There are four main sections: Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean; Gran Colombia (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador) with Peru and Bolivia; Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay); and Brazil.
Given present trends in Latin America, about half of the publication is devoted to Integrated Communications (i.e. VoIP, IMS, etc) and the changing Telecom landscape. This information includes analysis and is presented from a technological, business, and regulatory perspective.
LatAm Tech Focus keeps a close eye on the role of open-source and vertical industry trends, including the public sector. Larger economic and political news is sometimes included, but only if relevant to Information Technology in a given region. Whenever possible, LatAm Tech Focus provides channel information, in both the consumer and software space, but with specific attention to business-to-business hardware.
As well, LatAm Tech Focus is more than just a regurgitation of press releases, as is so often the case with news services. Usually, these companies charge for what is essentially a wire service, and then act as brokerage houses for third-party research firms. Our readers benefit from a process of informed assessment, with analysis included. This is simply not the case with other news services: they do real-time news dumps and then offer analysis that is often months out of date and prohibitively expensive.
It is permissible to use LatAm Tech Focus for marketing or promotional purposes; all that is asked is that the publication be properly referenced.
