Perceptive Software, creator of enterprise content management solutions, including ImageNow document management, imaging and workflow, announced today that Memorial Hospital and Manor (MHM) will deploy ImageNow in its medical records and registration departments where an estimated 830,000 pounds of stored paper files reside.
“Due to the lack of an in-house scanning and archiving solution, we’ve been forced to print every discharge summary, and therefore are currently storing 830,000 pounds of paper,” said Stan Otts, M.I.S. Director, Memorial Hospital and Manor.
Perceptive Software’s ECM solutions for medical records and patient registration will enable MHM staff to capture patient documents at the point of admission and tie them to HIS records. Documents will be immediately available to clinical and administrative staff within its MEDITECH C/S application. Use of advanced electronic forms and electronic signatures will help facilitate a seamless, paperless admissions process that speeds information to the appropriate people.
Perceptive Software’s non-programmatic LearnMode™ integration technology will enable ImageNow to connect seamlessly with Memorial Hospital and Manor’s MEDITECH C/S system. Non-programmatic integration means ImageNow implementation will take just weeks rather than months, helping Memorial Hospital and Manor realize an immediate return on investment.
“The more we saw of the ImageNow product, the more we realized the adaptability of the software was the 'good fit' we needed,” said Otts. “Perceptive Software’s subscription on-premises deployment option made the up-front costs low enough that the decision to proceed with ImageNow was a 'no brainer."
Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, GA., has served the healthcare needs of Decatur County and surrounding communities for over 50 years. The 80-bed community hospital and 107-bed long-term care facility, along with Willow Ridge, an assisted living facility, is owned and operated by the Hospital Authority of the City of Bainbridge and Decatur County.
